Features of the Body Togs Leg Weights: Body Togs are weighted “sleeves” worn under clothing on the calves and forearms to increase the weight load and help your body burn more calories. Body Togs add from four to seven pounds of weight, depending on size. These extra pounds automatically increase the calories you burn throughout the day and help increase your fitness level. Whatever you do – from walking the dog to cleaning the house or climbing stairs – Body Togs turns it into a calorie-burning and fitness enhancing workout. Body Togs feature an innovative “no-show” design that fits snugly and comfortably under your clothing. You can wear them everywhere – and no one needs to know. Using BodyTogs for up to 10 hours per day may be as effective as a 2 mile run. You can imagine the fat burning potential benefit of adding this to your daily routine. Dr. Virji advocates using Body Togs as part of a sensible weight loss program which includes a healthy diet and regular exercise. As people lose weight, their metabolism slows down. By replacing the internal fat with external weight as they slim down, their daily calorific burn is significantly enhanced. To select the right size of Body Togs you will need to simply take a measurement. For the Leg Body Togs, measure the largest part of your calf.

Winter Weight Gain ? How Can You Avoid It?

Do you live in a cold climate and find yourself spending six months out of the year inside your house huddled under a blanket alongside the fire? Well you are probably one of those unfortunate souls who are very familiar with the subject of winter weight gain.

Spending more time indoors rather than outdoors makes you less energetic and potentially fatter. Long periods of time inside your house also bring the added temptation of eating. It can be hard to resist the snack cupboard when it is only arms length away, so continual snacking can easily amount up to significant extra calories. Just a few months of this type of extra indoor snacking and the pounds easily start to pile on. Once you finally come out of hibernation in spring your annual winter weight gain is on display for all to see when you swap your parka and snow pants for those revealing shorts and t-shirt.

What is more this winter gain is much harder to avoid over the holiday season. Holidays bring a steady stream of temptations with turkey and gravy, eggnog, cakes and cookies all making an appearance. So for the most of us who are not strong enough to resist these enticing treats what is the answer?

Well you may not like the solution, but you do need to brave the cold and snow and get moving! Although winter can be miserable it does offer some fun and unique activities that people on the sunny sides of the planet are not exposed to. Skiing, snow-shoeing and ice-skating are all fantastic activities that burn calories and help eliminating that annual winter weight gain. By choosing a winter sporting activity you will not only avoid gaining winter weight, but you may also find yourself looking forward to the season and all the extra fun you can have.

So carve into that turkey without any guilt and without any fear of excess calorie intake. Take up a winter sport that suits your lifestyle and budget and get active. Winter weight gain need no longer be a problem. Just get moving and look great in those shorts and t-shirt next time spring rolls around.

by highstrungloner

Weight Training Program How Do You Find The Right One For You

When you are trying to find the correct weight training program that will work best for you there are some things that you need to do first.

You will need to find a professional that you can talk to because they will be able to help you with the correct weight training program for you. You also need to learn all you can about bodybuilding. Education will help you find the correct way to workout.

There are all kinds of exercises that you can do when you want to work out. However, you want to make sure that you have a program that will work your whole body. You do not want to do just one area of your body and forget the rest.

Another thing that you want to do is watch what you eat and make sure that you are on the correct diet. You will need protein and carbohydrates to help you build muscle. Another thing that you do not want to forget about is that you need enough rest between your bodybuilding exercises. These things are all very important when you are weight training.

The right weight training program will combine warm up exercises, isolation exercises and compound exercises. These three things will need to be done correctly for you to get the results that you want.

Compound exercise that you want to do are squats, pull-ups, feet elevated pushups, dumbbells and bench press. You want to make sure that you do these as well as the isolation exercises because they will reach muscles that the compound exercises will not.

The best thing that you can do is to find a professional weight trainer to work with you so you can figure out what would work best for what you want to achieve. No one can tell you what the best program is for you because your body and goals will be different than everyone else.

Another thing that you want to think about is whether you want to join a gym or set up a gym in your own home. You want to do the one that will make you the most comfortable. You will not see the results that you want when you are busy being self conscious about how you look doing your weight training.

These are all things that you will need to do and figure out before you start any weight training program. You do not want to start anything that you do not know about. You need to make sure that you educate yourself on everything about bodybuilding before you try it. Otherwise you may end up wasting a lot of time and not getting any results at all

It helps you burn the fat and regulates your metabolism as well. Cardio is a straight-forward method, in order to burn those extra calories you need ton an elevating heart beat.

Tom calls <a rel=”nofollow” onclick=”javascript:_gaq.push(['_trackPageview', '/outgoing/article_exit_link']);” href=”http://scrampy.burnthefat.hop.clickbank.net/?tid=article”>Weight Training</a> the ‘final piece of the fat loss puzzle’ in this book. The weight training that you will learn is meant to build the muscle and help maintain what you have built. When there is an increase in the mass of muscle, there will also be an increase in the rate of your metabolism as well.

When you have an increase in your muscle mass, you will also be increasing your metabolism and gaining the positive benefits of that as well.

Tom’s program has much other additional stuff for download; these are quick and interesting as well. The program is so well equipped that you will not feel the need for a bonus.
Meet Your Body Building Goals!

Body building is the process of maximizing muscle hypertrophy. In competitive body building they display their physiques to a panel of judges who assign points based on their appearance. It’s all about the muscles. Muscles are revealed using a combination of weight training, oils, tanning, and lighting. Weight training is used and designed to change the physical appearance to make muscles stronger and larger.

Not only body building a competitive sport but it also is a lifestyle for some people. A lifestyle that revolves around weight training, cardiovascular exercises, nutrition, and reducing fat on the body. It takes years of strict training, almost obsessive amounts of training, and carefully planned work outs and diets to accomplish a competitive body builder’s physique.

Setting realistic and measurable goals and approaching them with the proper mind set is the first step at body building. Setting them high is good but make sure that they are still at a reachable level. Make sure that you know how much fat you are able to lose in a week before you set a goal. Do a test week of your plan to see what you lose then set your goal to that amount or little higher.

Without a goal you will have no sense of direction to keep you on track. It is very important to make sure that you have a goal for that reason. In order to have success in a body building program you will have to clearly define your goal.

Setting a goal will not do you any good if you do not have a good body building program. This is part of clearly defining your goal. You could have to goal but you’re not going to reach it if you do not set a program to keep you on track. Most people make the mistake of setting a program that is too advanced for them. If you do this you will wind up giving up on your program.

Another problem with making a body building program is people just set days to go to the gym and workout with out a set training plan of what exercises are going to be done.

A too advanced program will cause injury or failure and going to the gym working on whatever machine is open or looks cool will not give the results you are looking for.

Diet is going to be very important in body building as well and needs to be set in your training program. Without the proper diet you will not lose fat and gain muscle. This nutrition will give you recovery, energy, and growth. A diet high in protein and low in fat will be the best diet. Do some research to find a diet that is going to work best for you.

Taking a supplement for body building will be good for you as well. But do not expect that taking a supplement is going to do all the work for you or make up for improper training. It will not make up for a poor diet either. They will only work for you if your diet is good and following through with a good training program. Alternative Health Supplements offers a number of supplements for body builders.

Getting enough sleep is very important as well. Muscles do not grow when you work them out; they grow when you are sleeping. 7 to 8 hours of sleep a night will keep you healthy and give you the energy you need to keep at your goal.

Women Bodybuilding: Then and Now

Everyone has either heard of or is familiar with the sport of competitive bodybuilding. The female component, which is known as women bodybuilding, began in the late 1970s as women began to participate in competitions. Now, more than three decades later, women bodybuilding is a large part of the sport and has begun to garner the respect that it has strived for since it’s inception.

Although physique contests for women can actually be documented in the 1960s, they were little more than bikini contests. The first true women bodybuilding competition is regarded as the one held in Canton, Ohio in 1978. Promoted by Henry McGhee, the first United States Women’s National Physique Championship was the first competition where the entrants were judged solely on their muscularity as opposed to how well they looked in swimsuits.

By 1979, more women bodybuilding competitions were being held. The sport, however, did not possess a sanctioning body until 1980. Known as the National Physique Committee, this organization hosted the first women’s nationals and became the top amateur level competition for women bodybuilding in the United States. Additionally, 1980 marked the first Ms. Olympia competition, which is the most honored competition for women bodybuilding professionals.

As the sport continued to grow and increase in overall popularity, competitors found themselves needing to train harder and improve their overall muscular physique. By the 1980s, women bodybuilding was no longer a bikini contest or seeing who could pose in the highest heels. Now, it was becoming a popular sport with championship titles and increasing fan attendance.

With films that have been produced in honor of women bodybuilding competitions, coverage on major television networks and despite some controversies along the way, women bodybuilding has more than proven it’s ability to remain in the ranks of this popular sport. As further proof, the IFBB established a Hall of Fame in 1999, which would honor bodybuilding’s top athletes. To date, 14 women bodybuilding competitors have been inducted. Among them, Carla Dunlap, Cory Everson and Rachel McLish, Bev Francis, Lisa Lyon and Abbye Stockton, Kay Baxter, Diana Dennis, Kike Elomaa, Laura Combes, Lynn Conkwright, Ellen Van Maris, Stacy Bentley and Claudia Wilbourn.

In late 2004, the IFBB introduced a new rule that required women bodybuilding participants decrease their amount of muscularity by 20%, which is now referred to simply as the ‘20% rule.’ The rule applies to those whose physique requires the decrease. In 2005, another rule was introduced that would abolish the weight class system beginning with the 2005 Ms. Olympia.

In addition to women bodybuilding, there are two additional categories that are closely related and often held as part of the same event. The fitness competition includes a swimsuit round, along with a round that has the entrants judged on their performance in aerobics, dance or gymnastics. The second category is a figure competition, which is a newer format, and has the participants being judged exclusively on their symmetry and muscle tone. This category focuses less on muscle size than does women bodybuilding.

Although women bodybuilding has continued to grow in popularity, the prize money remains significantly less than is awarded to male bodybuilders.

Most Popular Chest Weight Training Lifts

After reading this article you should have three chest weight training lifts that you can do to get the chest of your dreams.

1. The first lift, and probably the most common lift, would be the flat bench press. The flat bench press works the upper and lower pecs, the triceps, and the anterior and posterior deltoids.

To do this lift you will want to lie flat on a bench with your feet firmly on the floor and your butt, back, shoulders, and head firmly on the bench. You should also roll your shoulders back and down so that your chest is sticking up and your shoulder blades are pressed against the bench. You will want your hands to be gripping the bar slightly wider than your shoulder width directly above your head.

Once you are in position you will want to inhale and hold your breath while you begin to lower the weight. Lower the weight until it touches your chest, not bouncing it off your chest, and then raise the weight. While you raise the weight is when you can exhale. Now you just need to pause slightly at the top and then repeat.

2. The second chest weight training lift is the incline bench dumbbell press. This lift works on the upper and lower pecs, the triceps, and the anterior and posterior deltoids.

To begin this lift you will want to lie on an inclined bench with your feet firmly on the floor and your butt, back, shoulders, and head firmly on the bench. Roll your shoulders back and down so your chest is sticking up and your shoulder blades are firmly pressed against the bench. Your arms should be placed directly above your head holding a dumbbell in each hand.

Once you are in position you will want to inhale and hold your breath as you lower each dumbbell simultaneously. Once you have lowered the dumbbells to your chest you can begin to push the weight back up while exhaling. Now you just need to pause and repeat.

3. The final chest weight training lift is the decline machine press. This lift works the upper and lower pecs, the triceps, and the anterior and posterior deltoids.

To do this lift you will want to lie on a declined chest machine with your feet firmly on the floor and your butt, back, shoulder, and head firmly positioned on the floor. You will want to roll your shoulders back and down so that your chest is sticking up and your shoulder blades are firmly pressed against the bench. You will want to place your arms straight up with your hands gripping the weight.

Once you re in position you will want to inhale and hold your breath as you lower the weight until it touches your chest. All you have to do now is exhale as you push the weight up.

Now that you know the three most popular chest weight training lifts you can get into the gym and get the chest of your dreams.
